Today is the 1st day of the second half of 2024. This is a good time to think about what we’ve done so far and look forward to good things for the rest of the year.

We, as recruiters with experience, have observed that imposter syndrome is a frequent issue for many skilled applicants in their hunt for jobs. It’s an ordinary problem which might prevent people from going after desired positions and promoting themselves well.

As a recruiter, I spend countless hours sifting through CVs and interviewing candidates. Ideally, this should be an exciting part of the process – finding the perfect match for a company and a candidate. But all too often, it turns into a frustrating exercise in unravelling embellished truths and outright lies.
