Calling all RPG specialists! We have an exciting 6-12-month contract opportunity for an RPG Developer to join a team Onsite in Sandton. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting technological solutions to meet the strategic objectives of the Bank. Your responsibilities will include aligning with solution design principles, contributing to development standards and best practices, reviewing business requirements, and compiling technical specifications. The ideal candidate should have solid RPG LE development experience, along with knowledge of SQL, C#, .Net, Node.js, cloud platforms, containerization technologies, RESTful APIs, CI/CD, and unit/integration testing. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
    • Designing, developing, implementing, and supporting innovative tech solutions aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.
    • Collaborating on solution design & architecture, ensuring adherence to best practices and governance standards.
    • Reviewing business requirements and providing valuable insights and recommendations.
    • Compiling clear and concise technical specifications.
 
To be successful, you’ll need:
    • Solid experience developing with RPG LE is a must.
    • Experience with SQL, C#, .NET, and Node.js is a significant advantage.
    • Cloud development experience is a plus.
    • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes) is desired.
    • A proven track record of developing RESTful APIs is essential.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
    • Strong unit and integration testing skills are required.
    • The ability to provide operational support and participate in after-hours standby rotation is necessary.
