Rate: R40 000 – R80 000 Depending on experience
Area: Remote within South Africa
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop: Build high-quality web applications using React and Next.js with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Innovate: Lead the development of new products, working closely with the team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate: Work within a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Optimize: Ensure applications are optimized for performance, usability, and accessibility.
- Code Quality: Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code while participating in code reviews and adhering to best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- React & Next.js Expertise: At least 3 years of professional experience building web applications with React and Next.js.
- Product Development: Proven experience developing new products from scratch, showcasing your ability to work through the entire development lifecycle.
- Front-end Mastery: Strong understanding of modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- State Management: Hands-on experience with state management libraries like Redux or Zustand.
- Testing: Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaboration tools like GitHub or GitLab.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
