Are you a detail-oriented and highly organized individual with a passion for streamlining processes?
A great and exciting opportunity exists for a vibrant “out of the box thinker” to take up a role as Consultant (Procurement Projects). This is a remote role with an international company. The key focus will be on client procurement consulting. You will need the desire and ability to work with different clients and their procurement teams on short to medium term assignments or projects to help them deliver their procurement goals. The suitable candidate should be good at working with stakeholders, who have at least 4-5 years’ experience in Procurement, prepared to travel and are excited to work for a progressive and forward-thinking company.

Salary:   R25 000 – R40 000 pm
Area:  Remote in SA (Pref to Cape Town)
 
Responsibilities
  • Ambitiously delivering Procurement and SRM type projects and roles
  • Getting involved in pulling together high-quality client pitches
  • Reviewing data to extract interesting information on excel
  • Reviewing contracts efficiently or drafting schedules of work and commercial ones where necessary
  • Posting articles in relation to procurement or industry where necessary on professional social media sites like LinkedIn
  • Taking the lead on projects where necessary helping other team members deliver their duties
  • Reviewing work by other colleagues and providing constructive feedback
  • Communicating positively in every interaction with colleagues, collaborators or clients ensuring that even the most difficult message is always delivered professionally without detriment to the company.
  • Presenting during pitches or projects in front of clients and team members
  • Attending networking events to sell
 
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain or related field is advantageous
  • Minimum 4-5 years of Procurement experience, preferably indirect procurement
  • Experience in client consulting on procurement projects
  • Tender and adjudication experience
  • Advanced understanding of third-party best practice contract management and drafting
  • Above par communication skills and your adaptability based on the audience and situation
  • Strong ability to observing problems/issues and come up with ideas to streamline
  • Senior stakeholder management
  • Proven results negotiating in leading commercial negotiations with suppliers and internal stake holders to deliver the right outcome both commercially and as a service
  • Data management and being able to read what is presented is paramount to be able to extract and manipulate data to present insightful information
  • You need to be meticulous and have attention to detail
