We’re searching for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead initiatives within the Security, Surveillance & Infrastructure (SSI) portfolio. In this role, you’ll identify opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and collaborate across teams to expand market presence and drive revenue. With a focus on system integrators and diverse verticals in the public and private sectors, you’ll champion cutting-edge solutions in the SSI domain.
Minimum of 3 years’ business development or external sales experience within the IT industry. Proven track record of success in sales and business growth. Deep understanding of SSI markets, technologies, and enterprise infrastructure solutions. Experience in vendor presentations and go-to-market strategies.

Salary: R55 000 – R71 000 pm including benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Growth:
- Build and nurture relationships with vendors and clients to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Collaborate on and implement growth strategies to expand market presence.
- Provide insights and recommendations on stock and product positioning.
- Sales Enablement & Support:
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Coach and support sales teams to effectively position the SSI product portfolio.
- Present business cases to stakeholders, including C-level executives and technical partners.
- Training & Expertise:
- Deliver vendor presentations and product training to internal teams and clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor by staying current on the latest technologies and market trends.
- Guide clients through solution recommendations, tender evaluations, and pricing decisions.
- Market Insights & Strategy:
- Monitor competitive landscapes and share market knowledge to refine strategies.
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies and sales plans.
- Stay informed about product roadmaps, life cycles, and industry advancements.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
- Ensure timely and accurate product pricing and quotation preparation.
- Support marketing initiatives such as events, promotions, and training sessions.
Requirements
- Experience & Knowledge:
- Minimum of 3 years’ business development or external sales experience within the IT industry.
- Proven track record of success in sales and business growth.
- Deep understanding of SSI markets, technologies, and enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Experience in vendor presentations and go-to-market strategies.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional networking, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
