A well-established galvanising business in Vanderbijlpark is looking for an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in galvanising, especially sheet galvanising and the galvanising of steel wires. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the full galvanising process and can manage production efficiently, safely, and to a high quality standard. The right person will bring solid plant experience, practical know-how, and the ability to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production within the galvanising plant
- Manage and improve galvanising processes for steel wires and related products
- Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality or safety
- Lead, supervise, and support production staff on site
- Monitor plant performance and address operational issues quickly
- Maintain high standards of quality control across the production line
- Work closely with maintenance and other departments to reduce downtime
- Drive efficiency, output, and consistent production performance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Manager in a galvanising plant
- Strong understanding of galvanising processes, including steel wire galvanising
- Background in steel wire manufacturing
- Practical, hands-on production management experience
- Strong leadership and plant management ability
- Good understanding of quality, safety, and production best practice
- Matric required
- A relevant qualification would be beneficial, but experience will carry more weight
