Procurement and Inventory Controller
Salary: Up to R24 000 pm

A well-organised and detail-driven Procurement and Inventory Controller is needed to support purchasing, stock control, supplier management, and import/export processes.
 
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping operations moving, negotiating with suppliers, managing stock accuracy, and making sure goods are purchased and delivered on time. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, logistics, finance, and operations to ensure procurement and warehouse processes run smoothly and cost-effectively.
 
Responsibilities
    • Support daily procurement and warehouse activities, including purchasing, stock issuing, and stock replenishment
    • Source, assess, and manage suppliers to ensure good pricing, reliable delivery, and quality products or services
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements to secure the best value for the business
    • Review and process purchase orders in line with budgets, company procedures, and operational needs
    • Manage import and export requirements, documentation, and supplier coordination
    • Monitor stock levels and ensure inventory is replenished on time to avoid shortages or overstocking
    • Maintain accurate procurement, pricing, stock, and supplier records
    • Work closely with finance, operations, logistics, and other departments to meet business requirements
    • Track supplier performance and address delivery, pricing, or quality issues when needed
    • Review market trends, pricing changes, and supply risks that could impact the business
    • Prepare procurement reports, forecasts, and updates for management
    • Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
 
Requirements
    • Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role
    • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or senior support capacity
    • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and stock control
    • Experience with imports and exports
    • Working knowledge of procurement software systems and/or QuickBooks
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent planning, administration, and organisational ability
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-paced environment
    • A practical team player who can work well with internal departments and external suppliers
