Salary: R70,000 to R80,000 CTC per month

A growing Fintech business is looking for a Mid Project Manager to deliver internal and client-facing projects across its product suite. This role is ideal for a structured, client-focused Project Manager who enjoys working with technical teams, managing moving parts, and keeping delivery aligned to business, compliance, and client expectations.
 
You will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and driving multiple technology projects from start to finish. This is a strong fit for someone who can communicate confidently with clients, translate requirements into clear actions for internal teams, and keep projects on track without losing sight of quality, scope, budget, or timelines.
 
Responsibilities
    • Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple internal and client-facing technology projects
    • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and success measures
    • Coordinate resources across technical, product, operations, business, and support teams
    • Keep project plans updated and ensure progress is visible to stakeholders
    • Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards, business objectives, and compliance expectations
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients during the implementation lifecycle
    • Facilitate client kickoff meetings, requirement-gathering sessions, progress updates, and project reviews
    • Translate client requirements into clear, actionable tasks for internal delivery teams
    • Manage client expectations through clear communication and regular updates
    • Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery challenges early
    • Develop mitigation plans and escalate concerns where needed
    • Manage change requests through the correct governance and approval processes
    • Track, resolve, and report on issues that may impact project delivery
    • Work closely with Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Product, Development, and Application Support teams
    • Support alignment between client needs, technical delivery, business priorities, and regulatory requirements
 
Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Diploma-only qualifications will not be sufficient for this role
    • 6 or more years’ experience in a similar Project Management role
    • Experience within financial technology, payment solutions, or banking is required
    • Demonstrated client-facing project experience is essential
    • Candidates with internal-only project experience will not be considered
    • Experience using Jira and Confluence
    • Ability to manage several projects at the same time without losing control of priorities, risks, or deadlines
    • Strong understanding of project planning, governance, risk management, issue tracking, and change control
    • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both clients and internal teams
    • Comfortable working across Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Product, Development, and Application Support teams
    • Strong stakeholder management, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills
    • Formal Project Management qualification such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or Agile will be advantageous
