Role Overview

You’ll work with large datasets, support reporting and performance tracking, and help turn raw data into clear insights. It’s an ideal opportunity for a high-performing quantitative graduate who wants hands-on experience and rapid growth.
Responsibilities
- Extract and manipulate data using SQL
- Support reporting across commercial, operational and risk functions
- Analyse trends and performance metrics
- Assist in building dashboards and visual reports
- Validate data accuracy and maintain data integrity
- Work with senior analysts to generate actionable insights
- Present findings clearly to internal stakeholders
Requirements
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a data or analytical role
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related quantitative field
- Strong academic record:
- GPA above 70% from UCT, Stellenbosch, Wits or UP
- GPA above 80% from other universities
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large datasets
- Based in Cape Town and able to work in office 3 to 4 days per week
Advantageous
- Experience with Python or R
- Exposure to data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Interest in working across commercial, operational and analytical areas
