Internal Sales Consultant – Aftermarket Auto Spares
Salary: R15 000 – R18 000 + Commission and benefits
Area: Parow, Western Cape
Type: Onsite
 
Role summary
If you enjoy turning technical parts enquiries into accurate quotes and happy repeat customers, this one will suit you. You will support a busy aftermarket spares operation by handling inbound requests, advising customers on the right parts, building quotes, processing orders, and keeping everything moving from order to delivery.
 
You will work closely with external sales, stores, procurement, and logistics to make sure customers get the right spares, on time, with clear communication all the way through.
 
Responsibilities
    • Handle incoming calls and emails for aftermarket spares enquiries
    • Identify parts from drawings, part numbers, descriptions, or photos and confirm compatibility
    • Prepare accurate quotations, follow up proactively, and convert quotes into orders
    • Capture and process sales orders on the ERP system and ensure correct pricing, discounts, and margins
    • Coordinate stock availability, backorders, supplier lead times, and delivery dates
    • Liaise with warehouse, dispatch, and procurement to resolve shortages and delays
    • Keep customers updated on order progress and manage queries, returns, and credits where needed
    • Support external sales with pricing, availability, and technical part information
    • Maintain clean customer and product data on CRM or ERP
    • Meet service levels for response times, quote turnaround, and monthly sales targets
 
Requirements
    • 3 Years’ proven internal sales experience in aftermarket automotive spares or Air Conditioning parts (non-negotiable)
    • Solid understanding of automotive Air Conditioning parts environments
    • Confident working with part numbers, BOMs, manuals, and technical descriptions
    • Strong admin and accuracy with quoting, order entry, and follow ups
    • Comfortable using an ERP system (SAP, Syspro, Sage, Pastel, Dynamics, or similar) and Excel
    • Good communication skills and a customer first approach
    • Able to manage multiple urgent requests without losing attention to detail
    • Matric required, additional technical or commercial qualification is a plus
