CRM Platform Lead
Analyst
Cape Town – Western Cape – South Africa
CRM Platform Lead
Salary: Highly negotiable
Area: Cape Town
Type: Hybrid
About the Role
CRM systems are easy to install and hard to get right. This role is for someone who understands that difference.
You’ll take ownership of Zoho CRM as a genuine business platform, not just a system that IT maintains and sales tolerates. Think customer journeys, data structure, automation and adoption, all pulling in the same direction. You’ll sit between operations, product and technology, translating what the business actually needs into a platform that works the way people really use it.
This is a foundational appointment. The environment needs stabilising and then building on, and you’ll be the one setting the direction.
Tech environment: Zoho CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or HubSpot experience also welcome)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning the CRM roadmap and making the calls on structure, usage and evolution
- Mapping and improving customer journeys across sales and service, with clear stages, SLAs and handoffs
- Keeping the data model clean: leads, accounts, opportunities, service interactions, all consistent and duplicate-free
- Designing automation and workflow logic that speeds things up without removing good judgement
- Defining how CRM talks to other systems and where it sits in the wider tech stack
- Acting as the go-to person between business and tech, so decisions don’t stall in translation
- Driving adoption through proper training, onboarding and usage standards, and holding the line on data quality
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Business Administration or similar
- Solid experience owning an enterprise CRM platform (Zoho is a bonus, not a must)
- A track record of designing business processes and customer journeys that actually get used
- Solid Project Management experience with managing multiple projects.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups or business units
- A working understanding of CRM data, reporting, workflows and integrations
- Change management and adoption experience, not just system knowledge
- The rare ability to speak both business and technical fluently
- Zoho or Dynamics certification is a plus, not a requirement
Why This One’s Worth a Look
You won’t be maintaining someone else’s system. You’ll be shaping one from a fairly early stage, with real influence over how it grows. If you’ve spent your career being the person who makes CRM make sense to everyone else, this is built for you.
