Salary: R22 000 to R28 000 per month

Responsibilities
    • Support, manage, and improve complex on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
    • Design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure solutions for clients
    • Work across cloud platforms, virtualization, container environments, and infrastructure automation
    • Maintain and optimise networking and secure access environments
    • Support infrastructure that enables data, AI, and automation workloads
    • Contribute to AI and analytics use cases such as anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and intelligent reporting
    • Lead and support technical projects including migrations, upgrades, and environment improvements
    • Help clients move toward more proactive, efficient, and secure IT operations
    • Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, and support control implementation and audit readiness
    • Strengthen client environments through ongoing security monitoring, incident response, and threat mitigation
    • Use modern security and monitoring platforms to improve visibility and response capability
    • Handle advanced support issues and step into higher-level engineering work where required
    • Mentor junior engineers and provide support on technical escalations
    • Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and non-technical stakeholders
    • Travel to client sites when required
 
Requirements
    • Minimum 6 – 8 years of relevant IT experience
    • At least 3 years in a senior support, engineering, or architecture-focused role
    • Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise support environments
    • Proven experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and VMware
    • Good working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
    • Strong understanding of networking, modern infrastructure design, and secure access principles
    • Experience with AI and machine learning tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
    • Exposure to data and analytics platforms such as Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake
    • Solid knowledge of compliance and governance standards including GDPR, POPIA, HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, PCI-DSS, NIST, and CIS Controls
    • Experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, incident response, and security operations
    • Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, EDR/XDR, and SOAR platforms
    • Proven ability to lead complex projects, migrations, and technical transitions
    • Able to work independently and make sound decisions in complex environments
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
    • Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
    • Based in South Africa, with Johannesburg preferred
    • Valid driver’s licence and own transport are essential
    • Willing to travel to client sites as needed
    • Available to work office hours from 07h30 to 17h00
