Business Development Manager Power Installations
Salary: R800 000 per annum + Company Car
Area: Vereeniging with extensive travel across South Africa, Africa and occasional international travel

Role Summary
This is a senior business development role suited to someone who understands the power and electrical infrastructure space and enjoys building long term commercial relationships. You will focus on growing the Power Installations portfolio through turnkey projects, maintenance solutions and strategic partnerships.
You will work closely with technical, commercial and leadership teams to position the business as a preferred partner for high voltage and medium voltage cable systems and related infrastructure projects. This role combines strategic thinking, hands on sales execution and strong customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within power installations, maintenance and turnkey projects
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to support forecasts and revenue targets
- Develop long term customer relationships across utilities, municipalities, consultants and contractors
- Analyse customer infrastructure plans and network development strategies to position solutions early
- Lead and support tender and quotation processes, ensuring competitive and professional submissions
- Track market activity and competitor movements to inform strategy and pricing
- Represent the business through meetings, presentations, workshops and site visits
- Travel extensively to maintain relationships and unlock new opportunities
- Provide regular reporting on market activity, customer feedback and sales performance
- Support budget planning and contribute to sustainable annual revenue growth
Requirements
- Grade 12 is essential
- BSc, BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of high voltage and medium voltage cable systems, installations and maintenance
- Proven experience in business development, sales strategy and market growth
- Solid background in sales administration including tenders, contracts, quotations and forecasting
- Confident communicator with the ability to present to technical and commercial audiences
- Comfortable working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans with strong report writing skills
- Willing and able to travel regularly and engage with clients after hours when required
