Are you a seasoned Program Manager looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment?
We’re seeking a highly motivated individual to join a team in Cape Town on Contract. You will oversee multiple interrelated projects within a strategic program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful delivery. This role will require strong project management, stakeholder management, and governance skills.
You must have a minimum 10 years of experience in project delivery, 4-8 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, and 1-3 years of experience as a Program Manager, and be well-versed in PMBOK, Prince2, and Lean Agile frameworks.
 
Rate: Up to R620 per hour
Type: 6-month Contract – Onsite

Job Summary
The Program Manager will oversee multiple interrelated projects within a strategic program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful delivery. This role will require strong project management, stakeholder management, and governance skills, with a focus on utilizing the PDC methodology.
Key Responsibilities
    • Program Oversight:
        • Monitor program progress and identify potential impediments.
        • Define and enforce governance frameworks, including stage gates.
        • Ensure quality project execution.
    • Benefits Management:
        • Facilitate the definition and review of benefit cases.
        • Track program benefits.
    • Risk Management:
        • Identify and mitigate program risks.
        • Maintain a robust risk management framework.
        • Define and track key risk indicators.
    • Resource Management:
        • Determine and allocate project management and coordination resources.
        • Monitor capacity and balance resource allocation.
    • Contract Management:
        • Manage contracts related to the program.
    • Team Leadership:
        • Lead and manage the program team.
        • Foster a community of practice for project management and coordination.
 
Qualifications and Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in project delivery.
    • 4-8 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager.
    • 1-3 years of experience as a Program Manager.
