We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Consultant (Contracts & Liability) with a strong focus on indirect procurement, particularly in the areas of contracts, liability, and clauses. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of procurement processes and contract management, with the ability to navigate complex commercial agreements. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive the best value while minimizing risks associated with procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and service level agreements with suppliers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clearly defined and aligned with client requirements.
- Liability and Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with contracts, including indemnity clauses, liability limits, and insurance requirements. Develop strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Commercial Clauses: Expertly handle commercial clauses, including pricing structures, payment terms, and performance metrics, to ensure favorable terms for clients.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Address and resolve any issues or disputes related to contract execution.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure adherence to legal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in procurement processes. Implement policies and procedures to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging risks. Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on contract performance, risk assessments, and procurement activities to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect procurement and contract management.
- Experience in a consulting environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry preferable
- Strong understanding of contract law, liability issues, and commercial clauses.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights
